16 May This week is Mental Health Awareness Week.
In construction, mental health isn’t a side conversation — it’s a daily reality.
Tight deadlines. Early starts. Physically demanding environments. Time away from family. It all adds up. And too often, it goes unspoken.
This week, we’ve been out across sites doing something simple — giving away free fruit to the workforce. Not just about healthy eating, but about creating a reason to stop, take a break, and open up conversations. Because sometimes that’s all it takes to check in with someone.
We’ve also been proud to support this with our charity partner Mates in Mind, hosting informal drop-in sessions on site. A chance for people to talk in their own way, at their own pace — with practical advice, guidance, and signposting available if needed.
No pressure. No stigma. Just support. Because improving mental health in construction doesn’t come from one campaign — it comes from consistently creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to speak.
